Courageous Journeys Counseling and Consulting Services

Headshot-Troy

I am the President and Clinical Director of Courageous Journeys. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, PA in 2000 and much of my training has focused on addiction recovery. I have worked with individuals overcoming addictions, couples struggling in their relationships, and individuals who have experience trauma in their lives. I also have experience helping those who struggle with unwanted sexual feelings and gender attachment issues. My clinical focus is to help individuals make the changes in their lives that they want to make while helping them remove the barriers, traumatic emotional responses, and belief systems that keep them stuck. I have also been trained in Emotionally Focused Couples therapy (EFT). I am the Lead facilitator of the LifeStar Network in Yuma Arizona, a sexual addictions program.

On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful wife, Lisa for 18 years. We are the parents of two extremely active children. I have struggled and overcome the feelings of SSA. I served in the California Roseville Mission, Hmong Speaking. I currently live in Yuma, Arizona.
