I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am 31 years old, single, and I experience same-sex attraction (ssa). To find out more about my journey with ssa you can view my video on the Voices of Hope web page.
I attended Dixie State College in St. George, UT and I played on the softball team (typical, I know). After graduating in 2002, I attended Utah State University for one year and then served a mission in the California Carlsbad mission. I graduated from USU in 2006 with a B.S. in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with an emphasis in Family and Community Services. After watching the the videos on the Voices of Hope page last March, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the LDS-SSA community. I do not view my same-sex attraction as a burden, but as an opportunity to help others.
I currently work at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the Mission-Based Management office as the CV Project Coordinator. I enjoy hiking, listening to music, playing my guitar, and being with friends.
