Kory Koontz

Voices of Hope

Kory has been married for almost 20 years to Colleen. He describes theirs as an “arranged marriage” — arranged by a loving Father in Heaven. Kory had previously been married and divorced after 5-1/2 years and with two children. This led him to a crossroad: he could choose to leave the Church and pursue an alternative relationship or he could remain committed to his faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He chose the latter and shortly thereafter met Colleen, with whom he has been blessed with three additional children.

His message of hope is simple — that we always have a choice. If we put our trust in the Lord, He will, in His own way and time, lead us to a life that is filled with happiness and joy beyond imagination. Kory is an author: “Do or Do Not– 12 Inspirational Steps to Prosperous Living;” an avid runner (24 marathons in the past 5 years); an actor, seminar speaker, former Ordinance Worker in the Jordan River Temple; and currently serves as the Ward Mission Leader in his ward in Sandy.
