David is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor practicing in Holladay, Utah. His professional training began in the early 1990s when he served in various capacities within Evergreen International. For many years, he has written, lectured, taught workshops, and given commentary on radio and television advocating for the wellbeing of those with distress over their sexual orientation. David received his Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Guidance from Brigham Young University in 1996.
David co–created the Journey into Manhood and Journey Beyond experiential weekends and has led many of these weekends. He co-founded and served on the board of directors of People Can Change for nearly a decade. He co-wrote the Evergreen Workbook for Men, and recently published Becoming A Whole Man: Principles and Archetypes.
David grew up in Sandy, Utah and spent most of his life in the Salt Lake Valley. Yet his experiences living in Southern California and New Jersey greatly impacted his view of the world and the people in it. He and his wife, Peggy, are the parents of three adult children.
